What began as an idea while staring into space turned into Rock Soup Media and helped propel some of Europe’s biggest brands to Fame, fortune and Billion dollar IPOs.
Mark has spent his entire working life doing weird and wonderful things with media.
He loves advertising, hates waste and believes every person, idea and business deserves the right to be seen.
In 2011 while stood looking at a row of empty London Underground Billboards he saw an opportunity to make big brand sized marketing accessible for Challenger Brands…. Regardless of marketing budget size.
What would happen if young undiscovered Ventures could use Premium but under-utilised Advertising inventory to reach the audience they needed for growth?
The answer came over the next 6 years while running the London Underground Media Ventures team, during which time Made.com, Hello Fresh, Vitality Health, Moma Foods and over 30 Scale-Up brands drove growth rates up to 10 X higher than competitors……Using Media which would normally have gone to waste.
After seeing the difference this made to cash constrained businesses Mark decided to launch Rock Soup Media.
You’ll often find mark staring teary eyed at unused, overlooked or ignored advertising channels ….. Upset by their current condition but genuinely excited at what they could become in the right hands .
